Football: SoCal connection lifts Washington Huskies

It’s no surprise that the Washington Huskies spend a lot of time recruiting Southland players. They’re very important in the Huskies’ success.
Former Lompoc running back Lavon Coleman leads the team in rushing with 242 yards.
Former Dorsey receiver Jaydon Mickens leads the team in receiving with 12 receptions for 144 yards.
Former JSerra defensive back Dante Pettis, a freshman, is the team’s punt returner.
Former Long Beach Jordan receiver John Ross is the team’s kickoff returner.
Former Long Beach Jordan linebacker John Timu has 16 tackles in three games.
Former Narbonne linebacker Keishawn Bierria is starting, along with former Loyola linemen Colin Tanigawa and Coleman Shelton.
