Football: QB Daniel Prieto reaches 46 touchdown passes for Newbury Park
Quarterback Daniel Prieto of Newbury Park passed for four touchdowns on Friday night, giving him a school-record 46 for the season, and the Panthers needed every one of them to defeat Atascadero, 49-48, in a Northern Division semifinal game.
Newbury Park will travel to Paso Robles for next week’s championship game.
Prieto has passed for more than 3,500 yards, helped by his top receivers, the Holmes brothers, Darick and Darnay.
