Football: Jeff Grady is hired to replace Dave White at Edison
Dave White spent 31 years as football coach at Huntington Beach Edison, and now the school has selected his successor. It’s an Edison grad.
Jeff Grady, an assistant coach at Santa Margarita, is coming home to take the baton from White.
It should be a popular hire. Grady is out of the same mold as White. He lives in Huntington Beach. He believes in community. He’s a quarterback coach who helped develop KJ Costello at Santa Margarita and should do great things with returning Edison QB Griffin O’Connor.
“He is the best man for the job,” White said.
