The Gable brothers aren’t very big but they sure know how to play football.
Isaiah Gable, 5 feet 5, 145 pounds, has been the player of the year in the East Valley League as a sophomore and now as a senior. He has scored 67 touchdowns in his three-year career playing running back and cornerback.
“He’s elusive,” Coach Bill Coan said.
Elijah Gable, 5 feet 5, 120 pounds, is a freshman cornerback playing opposite of his brother on defense. Together, they have helped lead Arleta to a 10-0 record going into a City Section Division I playoff opener on Friday at home against Venice.
Their cousin is former Sylmar and USC running back C.J. Gable.
They continue to prove they can excel using speed, agility, instincts and heart.
