Football: Crespi doesn’t practice and still wins, 67-0

First-year Crespi Coach Troy Thomas wasn’t pleased with the conduct off the field by his players this week, so he took away what they like best: football. The team didn’t practice on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.
“I want these guys to understand everything they do matters,” Thomas said.
Despite not practicing, the Celts defeated Taft, 67-0, on Friday. Two defensive linemen, Brandon Lawless and Talalemotu Uili, each had touchdowns.
Next up for Crespi is a home game on Saturday, Sept. 7, against Arizona Salpointe.
“We’ll know a lot more next week,” Thomas said.
