Boys’ basketball: David Rebibo is new coach at Harvard-Westlake
Former El Camino Real Coach David Rebibo has been hired as the new basketball coach at Harvard-Westlake.
Rebibo served as an assistant coach at San Francisco the last two seasons after being head coach at El Camino Real for six years. He guided the Conquistadores to a City Section Division II championship and brought success to a program that had little success in basketball.
He’s young, enthusiastic, organized and will replace longtime coach Greg Hilliard.
“This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and dream job,” Rebibo said. “It’s my opportunity to settle down for 30 years plus.”
It’s the second time Harvard-Westlake has hired a former El Camino Real coach. The Wolverines turned to Matt LaCour to build their baseball program.
