Baseball: San Fernando is set to play in Boras Classic

Defending City Section Division I baseball champion San Fernando will play in the 16-team South bracket of the Boras Classic March 29 through April 5 in Orange County. The winner will face the North bracket winner. Last season, Santa Ana Mater Dei won the championship.
The 16 teams in the South are JSerra, Mater Dei, Grossmont, Granite Hills, Bishop Amat, Gardena Serra, Cypress, Aliso Niguel, Glendora, San Dimas, Great Oak, Vista Murrieta, Temecula Valley, Valencia (Santa Clarita), San Fernando and Chino Hills.
Several teams invited from the Mission League, such as Harvard-Westlake and Loyola, couldn’t participate because of scheduling conflicts.
