Baseball: Jay Sterner leads Venice to RBI World Series title
Jay Sterner, a pitcher from Culver City, threw a two-hit shutout to lift Venice past Santo Domingo, 2-0, in the Junior Division championship game of the RBI World Series in Minnesota. Sterner was named game MVP.
Sterner had an 0.70 ERA in 10 innings of the tournament.
