Update: The Sabres have been one of the biggest surprises of the season, beginning play Friday with the sixth-most points in the league. Jeff Skinner (25) trailed only Alex Ovechkin (29) in goals before Buffalo played Washington on Friday. The Ducks continue to struggle to score, their 2.49 goals-per-game average ranking 29th in the 31-team league.
