Duo shines for Laguna Beach

Holly Parker and Bella Baldridge, a pair of players who helped lead the Laguna Beach High girls’ water polo team to playoff semifinal appearance this year, have been named once again to the Girls’ Water Polo All-CIF Southern Section Division 1 First Team (presented by the LA84 Foundation as selected by the Southern California Water Polo Coaches’ Assn.).
The team was headed by senior Kelsey Tyler of Division 1 champion Orange Lutheran and the Lancers’ Steve Carrera was named the division’s Coach of the Year.
Parker, a senior goalie, and Baldridge, a junior left-handed attacker, were on Laguna’s back-to-back Division 1 championship teams in 2014-15 and on teams that formed an Orange County-record 63-game winning streak that ended in January. The Breakers were eliminated in the semifinals of this year’s Division 1 playoff tournament by Foothill.
Baldridge is a three-time (2014-16) and Parker a two-time (2015-16) All-CIF Division 1 selection.
