Woman used granddaughter’s stroller to steal at Macy’s, police say
A 47-year-old Burbank woman was arrested outside a Macy’s store Monday after allegedly trying to steal eight pieces of clothing that were on top of her granddaughter’s stroller, police said.
Debbie Marlow was shopping at Macy’s just after 1 p.m. with her 2-year-old granddaughter and a small dog when she paid for one item and allegedly attempted to leave with eight other items on the stroller, Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn said.
Marlow -- a pet trainer, according to police records -- was detained by loss prevention employees before police arrived and arrested her on suspicion of burglary. She was being held Tuesday in lieu of $20,000 bail.
The child was released to the custody of her father, Ryburn said.
