A multi-vehicle traffic collision in Tarzana shut down several lanes in both directions of the 101 Freeway late Thursday, authorities said.
The crash was reported just after 9 p.m. on the eastbound 101 Freeway east of the Reseda Boulevard exit, said Officer Tony Polizzi of the California Highway Patrol.
Witnesses told the CHP that at least one vehicle was overturned and that the crash sent debris into the lanes. It’s unclear whether anyone was injured.
On the eastbound side, all but two lanes were closed; on the westbound side of the freeway, the No. 1 and No. 2 lanes were closed. The lanes were expected to remain closed until about 11:30 p.m., according to the CHP.
This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
