Man injured after gunman opens fire at restaurant in Palms
One man was injured Sunday night when a gunman walked into a Palms restaurant and opened fire before fleeing the scene, authorities said.
Three male suspects wearing hooded black sweatshirts and black bandannas covering their faces approached Super Pho & Teriyaki on Venice Boulevard around 9:25 p.m., authorities said.
One of the suspects, carrying a blue-steel revolver, walked through the front door and fired two shots at a male in his 40s who was eating a meal, Los Angeles police officials said.
The shots struck the victim in the left hand and the upper right shoulder.
The suspects then fled, driving westbound on Venice Boulevard, authorities said.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
No arrests have been made, and police are still trying to determine if the incident was gang-related. In brief interviews, police determined that the victim was not a gang member and did not know the suspects.
