Search resumes for missing hiker in Newhall’s Towsley Canyon
Authorities continued their search Tuesday for a hiker missing in the Towsley Canyon Park area of Newhall, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
Friends of 24-year-old Brian Napoli reported him missing around 4:45 p.m. Monday, Sgt. Derrick Valentine told KTLA-TV.
Napoli was hiking alone in the region when he went off the main trail and got lost, Valentine said. His vehicle was located near the entrance to the trail, he said.
The search for Napoli was suspended early Tuesday after authorities reached areas considered too dangerous to search at night, Valentine said.
