Man arrested on suspicion of slaying woman found at Pasadena home

A man was arrested on suspicion of killing a 19-year-old woman who was found dead from a gunshot wound in a Pasadena home, police said Monday afternoon.
Jonjon Crummie, 18, was taken into custody around 4 p.m. at the Los Angeles County Medical Center after his mother brokered a surrender deal with authorities, the Pasadena Police Department said.
Earlier Monday, police identified Crummie as a suspect in the woman’s death. She was found in a home in the 1500 block of North Raymond Avenue. Her name was not released.

Officers went to the home Sunday morning after receiving a report of shots fired. Police allege Crummie was seen running from the scene.
At least 37 homicides have been reported in Pasadena since January 2007, according to The Times homicide report database. More than two-thirds of the victims died from gunshot wounds.
