The suspect in a gang-related shooting Thursday night at a laundromat near downtown Los Angeles remains on the run after wounding two men, one of whom was in critical condition, authorities say.
The shooting occurred around 10:22 p.m. in the 1300 block of West 7th Street. One victim was shot in the upper torso. He was taken to the Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center, according to Lt. Orlando Chandler of the Los Angeles Police Department Rampart Station.
The second victim was treated at the scene, Chandler said. Neither victim was identified.
“We don’t know how many shots were fired,” Chandler said.
Police did not have a definitive description of the shooter.
The investigation remained ongoing and anyone with information was asked to call the homicide division of the LAPD Rampart Station at (213) 484-3450.
