Earthquake: 3.5 quake strikes near Mammoth Lakes

A shallow magnitude 3.5 earthquake was reported Thursday evening five miles from Mammoth Lakes, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 9:21 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 3.7 miles.
According to the USGS, the epicenter was 73 miles from Clovis, 75 miles from Sanger and 79 miles from Fresno.
In the last 10 days, there have been seven earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby.
