Manuel Olazabal scored two goals and Sergio Centeno added one for visiting Sherman Oaks CES (2-0).King-Drew is 0-2.
Elizabeth 9, L.A. CES 0
Danny Caballero and Josh Cordo each had a hat trick for host Elizabeth, which led 5-0 at the half. Elizabeth improved to 1-1 while L.A. CES fell to 0-1-1. Each school has only played league games.
NONLEAGUE
Jefferson 2, Taft 1
Senior forward German Garcia scored his fifth goal of the season -- a game-winner -- in the 45th minute for host Jefferson (2-0).
Garcia also assisted on freshman midfielder Jesse Peredes, who scored in the 42nd minute. Senior forward Milad Jabarzade scored in the 43rd minute for Taft.

Adrian Krsulja scored for San Pedro (1-1-1).

L.A. CES 3, Middle College 3
Sophomore Luies Ramos scored three unassisted goals for L.A. CES (0-1-1).
NONLEAGUE
Canoga Park 2, Venice 1
George Piez scored two goals, including the game-winner in the 65th minute, for visiting Canoga Park (1-0-1). Piez found the net from about 12 yards away on a cross from Victor Sanchez. Piez’s first goal came in the 20th minute. Venice fell to 1-2-0.
Gardena 4, Huntington Park 0
Gardena improved to 2-0 while Huntington Park fell to 2-1.
Grant 1, Cleveland 1
Jessie Alfaro scored the tying goal for host Grant (0-0-1) in the 60th minute. Cleveland is 1-0-2.
Locke 2, Bell 1
Jevon Bowen and Ricardo Garcia scored for host Locke (3-0). Garcia’s game-winner, from about 18 yards out on a breakaway, came in the 68th minute. Abel Lua then preserved the win for Locke with three impressive saves in the final 10 minutes. Bell is 0-1.
Manual Arts 6, L.A. Hamilton 3
Omar Carrillo had three goals and Oscar Portillo, Roberto Ceron and Christian Abarca had the other goals for Manual Arts (1-0) in a victory over visiting L.A. Hamilton (0-2).Armando Sanchez had two assist for the Toilers
Sylmar 3, Birmingham 1
Eric Blanco scored his fifth goal in four games, and also had an assist on the goal of Adrian Hernandez. Erick Miron also scored for Sylmar (4-0). Birmingham is 0-2.

Van Nuys improves to 1-0. Verdugo Hills 0-1

NONLEAGUE
Sherman Oaks CES 4, Elizabeth 0
Danny Caballero had five shots on goal for Elizabeth (0-1). Host Sherman Oaks CES won in its first game this season.
INTERSECTIONAL
Monroe 2, Saugus 1
Marlon Melgar assisted on visiting Monroe’s first goal and then scored what proved to be the game-winner in the first half. Melgar assisted Lester Feldman early in the game and then added an unassisted score before the break. Saugas closed to within 2-1 on Carmelo Tyerranova’s penalty kick midway through the second half but couldn’t manage the tie. Monroe improved to 1-0-1.
