Mike Memoli is a reporter in the Tribune Washington bureau. He began covering politics in the nation’s capital six years ago for The Hotline, a daily tipsheet for political insiders produced by National Journal. He also covered the 2008 presidential race as an “embedded” campaign reporter for NBC News and the National Journal, before joining Real Clear Politics in 2009 as the White House reporter.
