Assemblyman Mervyn Dymally (D-Compton) has a nonprofit group, the California Legislative Black Caucus Foundation Inc., that puts on an annual conference and funds internships. He raised $640,373 for it this year. The Washington Mutual bank and the Pechanga Band of Mission Indians each gave $25,000. The U.S. Postmaster donated $1,760 in stamps. —Nancy Vogel
