Happy (Hawaiian) Birthday, Mr. President
What could be a better birthday present for President Bush than to stamp images of all his favorite things on a shirt that just screams, “Vacation!”
His senior gift officer agrees and took action by calling the Newport Beach-based surf apparel company Toes on the Nose to design a custom-made Hawaiian shirt for the president’s July 6 birthday.
The blue button-down features pictures of the obvious — presidential seal, Air Force One and Camp David and also his personal pastimes: an iPod, a bookmark, the Yale logo and even a picture of his beloved dog Barney.
The company also managed to personalize it further by stitching his initials, “GWB,” on the right sleeve as well as “President Bush” below the inside label. That should make laundry day at the White House go so much smoother.
