Sharon Stone to preside as Kiehl’s Ride for amfAR ends at the Grove
Kiehl’s is scheduled to wrap up its fourth annual Life Ride for amfAR on Thursday at the Grove in Los Angeles.
The nine-day motorcycle caravan from Seattle to L.A. is to end with the cyclists riding up to the shopping mecca. Actress Sharon Stone, whose film “Lovelace” opens Friday, is scheduled to accept Kiehl’s donation on behalf of amfAR, the Foundation for AIDS Research. In addition there will be performances by Kelis and DJ Spinderella, an interactive photo booth with Harley-Davidson, temporary tattoos and more.
Kiehl’s plans to offer 15% off most purchases all day on Thursday (excluding charitable and special value sets) and will donate the equivalent of the 15% up to $125,000 to amfAR, along with net proceeds up to $25,000 from sales of a special limited-edition Ultimate Strength Hand Salve.
Thursday’s event is scheduled to start with red carpet arrivals beginning at 11:30 a.m. and other activities from noon to 3 p.m. The Grove is at 189 The Grove Drive, Los Angeles.
Ride participants include Chris Salgardo, president, Kiehl’s USA; Kevin Robert Frost, chief executive officer of amfAR; actors John Corbett, Gilles Marini, Kurt Yaeger, Teddy Sears and Grant Reynolds; World Cup champion rugby player Ben Cohen, photographer Jon Beck and artist Conrad Leach.
