Hitman: Agent 47 This 2015 remake of a hit video game-inspired action film stars Rupert Friend (“Homeland”) as a genetically engineered assassin who is endowed with strength, speed, stamina and intelligence. Zachary Quinto and Ciaran Hinds also star, 8:20 p.m. Cinemax. “Hitman,” the 2007 original starring Timothy Olyphant, Dougray Scott airs at 6:45 p.m.
Ace in the Hole Kirk Douglas stars as a New York newspaper reporter in New Mexico who delays the rescue of a miner trapped in a cave-in to milk the story in director Billy Wilder’s 1951 gritty classic. 7 p.m. TCM
The Walk Leading man Joseph Gordon-Levitt trained with French high-wire artist Philippe Petit to prepare for Robert Zemeckis’ 2015 biographical drama that re-creates Petit’s 1974 tightrope walk between the Twin Towers of New York’s World Trade Center. Ben Kingsley, Charlotte Le Bon and James Badge Dale also star. Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Ben Kingsley. 9 p.m. Starz
Meet the Hitlers In this 2014 documentary, filmmaker Matt Ogens travels from Utah to Ecuador to the Rhineland of Germany and elsewhere to talk to people who have to live with a surname that is steeped in the darkest historical infamy. 10 p.m. Showtime
