It’s a shame that Buffalo probably won’t make the Super Bowl this year, because its halftime show performer could potentially sing about “Bills, Bills, Bills.”
Beyonce reportedly has been tapped to perform at the 2013 game on Feb. 3 in New Orleans, according to AP reports from an unnamed source close to organizers. It will be the 31-year-old’s second time performing at the game, after singing the national anthem at the 2004 Super Bowl in her hometown of Houston.

The “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” singer will follow Madonna’s conversation-starting set in the 2012 game, which also featured Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.
Obvious potential guests for Bey include her husband Jay-Z, who performed a round of sets to open Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, and her old bandmates in Destiny’s Child.

New Orleans last hosted the game in 2002, making 2013’s game the first Super Bowl in the Superdome since Hurricane Katrina.
Update, 1:12 p.m. PST: As of this afternoon, Beyonce essentially confirmed her Super Bowl appearance with this photo of the singer in eye black on her Tumblr feed.
