Bon Iver to debut new music at Wisconsin festival

After a heart-rending week for surprise Friday album drops (why, why no Frank Ocean?), Bon Iver is out to make it right.
The Grammy-winning singer born Justin Vernon has announced that he’ll perform a set of all new music at his own Eaux Claires festival in Wisconsin on Friday.
There’s no word on a title, tracklist or a digital/physical release date yet (though the phrase “22 Days” has popped up in a Brooklyn mural advertising the record). His social media accounts have begun to flood with a new teaser video and a new, vaguely cult-y black-and-white artwork theme as well.
So, true to form for such an intimate singer-songwriter, you’ll have to be there in person if you want to hear the first snippets of it. The LP would be Bon Iver’s first since 2011’s self-titled album.
He has most recently collaborated with James Blake and the band Francis and the Lights, and has a date at the Beach Goth festival Oct. 22 and his own Hollywood Bowl date set for Oct. 23.
