“Movie 43,” the commercially unsuccessful and critically lambasted anthology comedy featuring such stars as Hugh Jackman, Kate Winslet and Halle Berry, “won” worst picture of 2013 Saturday night at the 34th Razzie Awards ceremony at Ignited Spaces in Hollywood.
The tongue-in-cheek awards show, which “honors” the worst achievement in motion pictures, is always held the night before the Academy Awards.
The comedy also won worst director for its 13 directors and worst screenplay for the 19 screenwriters on the project.

The sci-fi flop “After Earth” also earned three Razzies Saturday evening. And it was definitely a family affair for stars Jaden Smith and his father Will Smith. Jaden Smith won worst actor, while his father was named worst supporting actor. The Smiths also won a Razzie for worst screen combo.
Worst actress went to Tyler Perry for his performance as Madea in “A Madea Christmas,” and Kim Kardashian picked up her first Razzie for supporting actor for Perry’s “Temptation.”
“The Lone Ranger” won for worst remake/rip-off or sequel.
Surprisingly, Adam Sandler’s “Grown-Ups 2,” which had dominated the Razzie nominations with eight nods, went home empty-handed. Which is something of an honor in itself.
