Jessica Simpson’s Halloween chicken comes home to roost
Jessica Simpson sure has a thing for Halloween -- last year she used the holiday to announce her long-suspected pregnancy, and this year the chickens have come home to roost.
One chicken, at least, in the form of little Maxwell Drew Johnson.
Simpson squeezed into a Medieval wench costume, showing off a noticeably slimmer six-months-post-baby waistline, while fiance Eric Johnson went all “Braveheart,” holding Maxwell in a chicken suit. She tweeted a link to the picture on her website Wednesday.

What the theme is, we’re not sure — villagers about to prepare dinner? — but the bird really is adorable.
In 2011, Simpson tweeted a picture of herself clad as a mummy, flaunting her baby bump and writing on her website, “It’s True! I’m going to be a mummy!” She gave the “I’m pregnant” info away for free after reportedly shopping around her news with a price tag of $500,000.
Alas, there were no takers.
