Comedy: Tony Clifton to play at Comedy Store
Andy Kaufman died 28 years ago, but that won’t stop his bawdy alter-ego Tony Clifton from re-appearing (in one form or another) at this celebratory event. Expect rousing tunes from his band the Cliftones and racy burlesque from the Cliftonettes, while an incarnation of the mustachioed lounge lizard himself manages to offend and/or delight everyone involved. The Comedy Store, 8433 Sunset Blvd., L.A. 9 p.m. Thu. $20. laughstub.com.
