Kristen Stewart apologizes for ‘indiscretion’ with married director
An earthquake has rocked the Robsten world, with Kristen Stewart issuing a public apology Wednesday for a “momentary indiscretion” with Rupert Sanders, the married director of her recent film “Snow White and the Huntsman.”
Rumors of a fling bubbled Tuesday night as photos surfaced via Us Weekly, showing 22-year-old Stewart -- years-long girlfriend of “Twilight Saga” costar Robert Pattinson, the other half of “Robsten” -- and Sanders in what one source called a “marathon makeout session.”
A photo on the mag’s cover shows KStew and her director in a seemingly comfortable embrace.

Sanders, 41, has two children with model-actress Liberty Ross. As the story broke, Ross followed Us Weekly on Twitter, said simply “Wow,” and shut down her account, E! News reported. Ross played Stewart’s mother in the film.
People magazine also had sources talking about the situation on Tuesday, saying the actress “wasn’t having an affair with Rupert. It was just a fleeting moment that shouldn’t have happened. ... She’s a good person who just made a bad choice.”
Stewart’s Wednesday-morning apology came rather quickly, as celeb-reaction time is measured. There was no denial that something untoward had happened.
“I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected,” Stewart said in a statement to People. “This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry.”
Pattinson, 26, recently denied rumors on their impending marriage in an interview with BlackBook magazine, saying of his private life, “No one ever knows what is true or what isn’t.”
Does Stewart’s public apology change all that?
