Rebel Wilson chosen to host April’s MTV Movie Awards

From the department of really fantastic decision-making: MTV has tapped actress Rebel Wilson to host their annual movie awards.
The “Bridesmaids” breakout announced her new gig — set to air live on April 14 from Los Angeles — with a promo clip that has Rebel all chained up.
Held hostage by friend and fellow funnyman Matt Lucas in the clip, which you can watch below, Wilson is chained and beaten for information, presumably pertaining to the coveted golden popcorn trophies.
In addition to the big new gig, Wilson is developing a comedy TV pilot and will hit theaters next year in Michael Bay’s “Pain and Gain.”
On the awards front, the Ministry’s collective mind is racing thinking of the possibilities: A “Pitch Perfect”-style sing off? An appearance by her rapping alter-ego? Confronting her unhappy neighbors?
