Art: July’s ‘Eleven Heavy Things’ comes to MOCA center

Triple-threat artist, filmmaker and author Miranda July brings her “Eleven Heavy Things” interactive sculpture exhibition to Los Angeles. Presented by MOCA at the Pacific Design Center, the cast fiberglass, steel-lined “Things” are pedestals, slabs and elaborate stone headdresses to either stand on, around or under, and were first installed at the 2009 Venice Biennale and later at Union Square Park in New York City.
