The onetime Beverly Crest-area compound of Mark Wahlberg has come on the market for $30 million, or about $17 million more than what the actor sold it for two years ago -- $12.995 million.

Built in 1985, the gated Mediterranean has been updated in a more modern style and features new oak flooring and neutral tones throughout the 11,500 square feet of living space.

Among common areas is a formal dining room, a chef’s kitchen with a floating range, a screening room and a game room. A formal living room has a stone fireplace and French doors that open to a terrace patio.

A total of five bedrooms and eight bathrooms includes a children’s wing and a master suite complete with a sitting area and fireplace. A two-story guesthouse adds two additional bedroom en suites.

Outdoors, palm-topped grounds center on a hanger-style structure with a gym and professional boxing ring that opens to a basketball half-court. Wahlberg used the ring during his ownership to train for his role in the film “The Fighter” as well as host such boxers as Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao.

A putting green, play yard and a swimming pool with a 12-foot waterfall, water slide and grotto complete the nearly two-acre setting.

Valerie Fitzgerald of Coldwell Banker Previews International is the listing agent.

Wahlberg, who bought the property in 2001 for $4.95 million, has since relocated to the affluent Beverly Park community.
