James Dearden is ready to write Beverly Crest lease house out of his portfolio
English director-screenwriter James Dearden, whose writing credits include the 1987 thriller “Fatal Attraction,” and his wife, actress Annabel Brooks, have listed a home in Beverly Crest at $4.999 million.
The gated contemporary, which has been leased out in recent years, sits on a half-acre hedged lot with a swimming pool.
The interiors of 5,286 square feet include an open-plan living area, a dining room, a bright-red media room with built-ins, five bedrooms and six bathrooms. A staircase with an iron railing leads to the second level where the master suite with a fireplace opens to a deck.
Glass doors open to gardens, the pool and a sun deck. Built-in seating lines one side of the pool area. There’s an outdoor fireplace near one of two dining patios.
Dearden, 69, also wrote and directed “Pascali’s Island” (1988),”A Kiss Before Dying” (1991) and “Surviving Christmas With the Relatives” (2018).
Brooks, 61, has appeared in such films as “The Witches” (1990), “Princess Caraboo” (1994) and “Last Run” (2001).
They bought the property in 2007 for $4.695 million.
Annie Challis of Coldwell Banker is the listing agent.
