The dog days of summer may have passed, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that Vegas is any cooler. With average high temps in the mid 90s through the end of September, you might still find yourself in need of a respite from the desert sun. Perhaps something below freezing might do the trick? Enter Minus5, a unique ice-themed bar where you can down vodka cocktails in the chilled comfort of a minus 5 degrees Celsius (23 degrees Fahrenheit) ice environment. Sound a little too refreshing? Don’t worry, before stepping inside the bar, you’ll be outfitted with faux-fur parkas, gloves and boots. And you’ll need them too, because in this bar everything (and we mean everything: the bar, tables, benches, walls and even the glassware) is made of ice. That’s 90 tons of ice, for anyone who’s counting. It’s the perfect place to (pardon us) chill out.
