Week ahead for Dodgers
Tuesday through Thursday: at San Diego Padres
Friday through Sunday: at San Francisco Giants
The Padres have looked like a different team since the All-Star break. The offensively impotent club has been scoring runs at an unusual rate and averaged 5.4 per game in their first seven games after the midseason intermission. Of those seven games, they won five. But the Padres were 1-4 against the Dodgers in the first half and were swept by them in a three-game series in San Diego from May 14-16. The Padres’ scheduled starter for Thursday’s game, Kevin Correia, has already lost twice to the Dodgers. The Dodgers will avoid Padres ace Mat Latos this week.
