Shades of race

When the race card shows its face as often as it did last week, you can bet discriminating cartoonists will ante up. Tony Auth blindsided the “tea partyers” with his contrasting black-and-oh-so-white treatment. Nate Beeler saw more shades of gray, and trotted out a wrongheaded three-headed monster. (Nate really puts the “irate” in “triumvirate.”) And Jack Ohman regarded the whole USDA-approved rhubarb as irrigated by irritated media provocateurs. Great stuff. No one’s demanding that these guys resign.— Joel Pett
