Mary McNamara is right: The Oscar show must be fast moving with drama [“Make it a Winner,” Oct. 25].
However, musicals and clever skits are Oscar night staples, and academy producers Bill Mechanic and Adam Shankman need only recall the days of vaudeville and entertainers like Mickey Rooney. Make the 82nd Oscar night “indisputably live”!
