Thanks for your front-page story about abuse in the Catholic schools of Ireland. It would be good to see more stories about how we are handling sex abuse and violence in our own public schools here in California.

Here’s something the Catholic Church might try -- evolve.

Like all organisms on this planet, it’s evolve or die. It’s time the church took its head out of the sand and acknowledge that all human beings are sexual. By allowing priests to marry, it would cut down significantly on the amount of abuse.
