Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has named U.S.-born historian and bestselling author Michael B. Oren as Israel’s next ambassador to the United States, the prime minister’s office said.
Oren, a guest lecturer at Georgetown University in Washington, is expected to assume the post in time to accompany Netanyahu to a meeting this month with President Obama at the White House.
