Update: USC swept Washington last season, winning in Seattle, 73-59. “This is a different Washington team because of the addition of [guard] Isaiah Thomas,” USC Coach Tim Floyd said. Thomas has made the Huskies more potent on offense. The 5-foot-8 freshman averages 15.8 points a game. Washington leads the Pacific 10 Conference in scoring, averaging 78.6 points. The Huskies also have power inside with Jon Brockman, a 6-7, 255-pound senior who is also averaging 15.8 points. Dwight Lewis, the Trojans’ leading scorer (15.8 points), suffered a mildly sprained ankle Monday, but Floyd said that he expected him to play.
