Update: The Clippers could be getting at least one of their big men back tonight. Marcus Camby (ear infection) was prevented from playing in the loss at Portland on Sunday afternoon because he was not given clearance to fly. Rookie guard Mike Taylor played his first game since suffering a broken right thumb on Dec. 19. He played five minutes against the Trail Blazers. The durable Al Thornton sat out a game for the first time this season because of an injured right foot, which he hurt on Wednesday against Phoenix. Thornton is averaging 17.1 points. The Clippers have dropped all three games after the All-Star break, giving up an average of 133 points in those games. Golden State’s Monta Ellis will be out for at least a week to rest his left ankle.
