Update: Yes, there is something on the line -- for the struggling Jazz. Utah, which has lost three straight games and six of its last seven, is desperately trying to avoid that dreaded No. 8 spot in the Western Conference. The Jazz currently is eighth, one game behind seventh-place Dallas, and should Utah finish there, it would face the Lakers in the opening round of the playoffs. The Clippers are trying to hit the 20-win mark, and have two shots to get there, tonight and then in their season finale, at home against Oklahoma City on Wednesday. They seemingly collect injuries on a game-by-game basis and the latest one -- Zach Randolph’s mild concussion -- came in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s loss to Portland.
