If you’re traveling in California, check out Expedia’s hotel deals. California lodgings are on sale at the online site. We focused on San Francisco to see how good the deals are and found them enticing.
The deal: If you book by April 30 and travel by May 31, you may find rates for what Expedia deems four-star hotels as low as $90 for the Parc Fifty Five at Union Square (May 24 and 25); $99 for the Mark Hopkins Intercontinental (April 21 to 24); $99 for the Hilton San Francisco Union Square (May 7 through 13); and $99 for the Huntington (May 24 through 29). I even found the five-star St. Regis, the high-tech, high-thread-count hotel, at $305. Availability is limited, and some restrictions apply. Play with the dates and see what you come up with. And because it’s a California sale, you may find deals to your liking in Palm Springs, San Diego and Los Angeles.
