Bonifacio lead Marlins past Nationals, 12-6

at Florida 12, Washington 6: Emilio Bonifacio hit the major league’s first inside-the-park home run on opening day since 1968 and went four for five in his Marlins debut. Florida also hit three homers over the fence, including Hanley Ramirez’s grand slam.
Pittsburgh 6, at St. Louis 4: With the Pirates down to their last strike, Jack Wilson hit a three-run double to cap a four-run ninth inning off rookie closer Jason Motte.
New York 2, at Cincinnati 1: Daniel Murphy drove in both Mets runs with a home run and a groundout in his major league debut and Francisco Rodriguez earned his first save in the National League.
Chicago 4, at Houston 2: Carlos Zambrano pitched six sharp innings to get his first opening-day win in five chances, leading the Cubs past the Astros. Alfonso Soriano and Aramis Ramirez homered for Chicago.
Dodgers 4, at San Diego 1: James Loney had three hits for the Dodgers, including a two-run single in the first inning.
