at No. 20 Wake Forest 30, Mississippi 28: Sam Swank’s 41-yard field goal with three seconds left gave the Demon Deacons (2-0) the win at Winston-Salem, N.C., after Jevan Snead’s five-yard touchdown pass to Cordera Eason on fourth down had given Ole Miss the lead with 1:01 left.
Georgia Tech 19, at Boston College 16: Jonathan Dwyer ran for 108 yards and scored the go-ahead touchdown on a 43-yard run midway through the fourth quarter, sending the Yellow Jackets (2-0, 1-0 in the ACC) on their way to victory over the Eagles (1-1, 0-1).
at Virginia Tech 24, Furman 7: Kenny Lewis Jr. caught a touchdown pass and ran for a score, and the Hokies won at Blacksburg. Both teams are 1-1.
at Clemson 45, Citadel 17: C.J. Spiller ran for three touchdowns and the Tigers (1-1) took their first steps back from last week’s loss to Alabama.
at Virginia 16, Richmond 0: Vic Hall returned an interception 60 yards for a touchdown to seal the Cavaliers’ win at Charlottesville. Both teams are 1-1.
at Florida State 69, Western Carolina 0: Christian Ponder threw three touchdown passes at Tallahassee for the Seminoles (1-0) in a game interrupted for more than two hours by lightning.
at North Carolina State 34, William & Mary 24: Backup quarterback Harrison Beck threw two touchdown passes for the Wolfpack (1-1) at Raleigh.
Northwestern 24, at Duke 20: Tyrell Sutton ran for two touchdowns for the Wildcats (2-0) at Durham, N.C. Duke is 1-1.
at Middle Tennessee 24, Maryland 14: The Blue Raiders’ win at Murfreesboro was their first over an ACC opponent.
