Dish Network Corp. and NBC Universal signed a deal that will let subscribers to the satellite pay-television company request more information from NBC advertisers with a click of their remote controls.
Dish customers with digital video recorder boxes will be able to select an icon shown during a commercial that will take them to a page to get more details about a product or service, the companies said.
The ads will be on the air by the third quarter. The companies haven’t yet signed up advertisers for the new format, an NBC spokeswoman said.
