Adding a link to bike chain fixes
In Roy M. Wallack’s review of helpful bike tools [ “Keeping Riders Rolling,” July 14], I must add information for the owners of Shimano and Campy chains. Long before SRAM took over the European and American bike parts companies, I was using Craig’s SuperLink III, a reusable link that was once made for eight-speed and is now available in nine- and 10-speed versions.
It may be available locally, but I got mine from Lickton’s in Chicago.
In reviews, some complain of a clicking sound, but they probably bought the incorrect size. Here’s the link: www.lick bike.com/productpage.aspx ?PART_NUM_SUB=’0338-08’.
