Maguire to sell Irvine buildings

Maguire Properties Inc., the faltering Los Angeles landlord pressed by investors to consider an unsolicited takeover bid, agreed to sell an Irvine office property for about $211 million.
The buyer is Shorenstein Properties, Los Angeles-based Maguire said. The property, known as Main Plaza, includes two 12-story Class A office buildings with about 585,000 square feet of space.
