Baseball: The Dodgers FYI in Wednesday’s Sports section reported that Wednesday was the first day major league organizations could sign international free agents who turn 16 after Aug. 1. In fact, Wednesday was the first day clubs could sign international free agents who are already 16 and who turn 17 after Sept. 6. Players who are 17 or older before Sept. 6 were already eligible to be signed.
