Public is asked for traffic ideas

The public is invited to share ideas for tackling traffic congestion as part of a major transportation study that targeting South Orange County.

Three meetings will be held to help develop a long-term transportation plan, which is the first comprehensive examination of freeways, toll roads, arterial streets, train and bus service in the area in two decades.

“Hearing from South County residents who contend with this traffic on a daily basis is critical to ensuring the success of this study,” said Supervisor Pat Bates, who is on the Orange County Transportation Authority board.

The meetings will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. and start March 5 in Laguna Hills at the Heritage Room in the Laguna Hills Community Center, 25555 Alicia Parkway.

In Lake Forest, the meeting is March 6 in Community Room A and B at City Hall, 25550 Commercentre Drive.

In Dana Point, the meeting is March 11, in the multi-purpose room at R. H. Dana Elementary School, 24242 La Cresta Drive.
